Personal Structures on film: A visual narrative of the exhibition
Discover some of the best moments, reflections and thoughts that have emerged during the 2022 edition of the European Cultural Centre’s art biennial
After challenging times and two intense years of work, the European Cultural Centre launched the sixth edition of the extensive art biennial Personal Structures. Take a look at the video produced by media company Mediatrama, capturing the essence of ECC’s exhibition through testimonies:
“At the European Cultural Centre, we provide artists, architects and institutions with a stage to express themselves, creating an exhibition that becomes a space for dialogue and exchange.”
Sara Danieli, Head of Art, ECC Italy
“Especially this year, Personal Structures has included in its show different kinds of artworks, that is, not only featuring painting, photography and sculpture, but also new forms of multimedia installations and emerging NFTs. It is important for the European Cultural Centre to represent all the mediums involved in the art field and in the contemporary art world present nowadays.”
Elena Volpato, Exhibition Organiser Photography, ECC Italy
“The European Cultural Centre has allowed Gallerie Myrtis to present the concerns of African-Americans on a global platform, and what this opportunity has allowed is for us to bring the voices of those whose history has been erased, who don’t fit into the European canon, of ar history, and contribute to that conversation.”
Myrtis Bedolla, Founder, Galerie Myrtis
“The European Cultural Centre is one of the very few organisations that is giving a space to universities and inviting academic institutions in a global art space like Venice”
Subhankar Banarjee, University of New Mexico
“Personal Structures is not only a display, but it is also a living workshop where artists, young and established, can work together and present their own visions, which can be individual or collective on the status, on the production of contemporary art. And this gives us also a message of hope, of hope for the future of contemporary art and the future of the young generations”
Lucia Pedrana, Head of University Relations, ECC Italy
