Xi Nan was born and raised in Jilin, China, and currently based in New York, USA. Nan was selected nationally from China Disabled Person Federation to study abroad at RCN United World College in Norway in 2007. Nan won the USA national second award of juried exhibition of emerging artists with disabilities and exhibited her work at the Smithsonian Institution in 2011. She completed MFA in ceramics at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2015, and has exhibited her work internationally.
