Wo Schiffman

Wo Schiffman paints on paper, wood, and metal with casein, oil, encaustic and polymer. Her studio is in a restored shipyard in Sausalito, California. Education includes a BA in Philosophy, summa cum laude, John Carroll University, with PhD study at CU Boulder. Art study includes, Yasuhisa Kohyama, (Cleveland Institute of Art), Yoshika Wada, (SF State University), and James Little, (Art Students League of New York). Exhibitions in the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe include the NY Hall of Science Museum, Hosby Konsthall Print Museum, National Museum of Encaustic Art, Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Northern California Art. Publications include Water Poems (2022) and Being Human, volume 1 (2023). Wo lives in Northern California with her husband and two dogs.
