Walcha Gallery of Art is a space dedicated to good design – a place for artists to exhibit in a contemporary setting, highlighting the extraordinary artistic talent found in Walcha & beyond. Walcha Gallery of Art was established in 2009 with the purpose to show what is happening in the Art World, blending contemporary with traditional, blending painting & drawing with sculpture & objects. It examines the continuing thread found in the small rural community, the connection & experience of each artist and the oldest way of making artwork – Storytelling. For some artists abstract qualities have been the focus and for others a more realistic image of place holds their sensory information.

The Gallery compliments the crowning achievement of Walcha’s public sculpture program, 70 “Rhythmic” abstract sculptures placed around the town which is a startling discovery for visitors to the town.
