The Biocultural Diversity Lab lead by Prof. Renata Sõukand evolved and is still growing from a group of researchers and enthusiasts who work on shared projects. The Lab is physically based at Ca’Foscari University of Venice (Italy). The work and ideas shared are linked with the local ecological knowledge with particular emphasis on the ethnobiological aspects including knowledge transmission with focus on border areas and importance of biocultural diversity in European context.
