Art Collective TeaRoom

B-OWND

TeaRoom explores beauty and connection without starting from separation. They treat chanoyu as a comprehensive art form where objects, space, gesture, people, and time arise together—and where relationship is felt through the five senses.

Working from a tradition that has continually shaped ways of “being together” for centuries, TeaRoom unsettles the binary habits that define modern life. Their practice begins before definition: roles like “artwork” and “viewer” loosen, and everyone present becomes part of the environment.

Their work extends beyond exhibitions and performances into tea cultivation, distribution, education, and international cultural projects. They build an ecosystem where art, industry, and culture move together. In this exhibition, by shifting appreciation into participation, TeaRoom poses a quiet question: what returns to us when we experience the world before it gets divided?
