Salma Zulfiqar is an award-winning artist and human rights campaigner focussing on migration, women and climate change explored through painting and digital artworks. She exhibited during the Venice Biennale 2019 with solo exhibitions in Paris, London, Dubai, Greece. She runs ARTconnects workshops which provided a creative lifeline for isolated women in COVID-19 lockdown. As an artist she embodies the notion that we are all one with no barriers or boundaries – only solidarity. In 2022, Salma Zulfiqar was presented with the U.K Prime Minister’s prestigious Points of Lights Award in recognition of her ‘exceptional service empowering refugee women through art classes.’
