Ryan Chetty is a 35-year-old Seychellois artist who currently lives and works in Seychelles. Initially inspired by the work of his father and uncle, both artists, Chetty studied at the Seychelles Polytechnic of Visual Art before securing a private sector to study for a BA at the M.S.U University, Baroda, India, where he graduated in 2013, securing a distinction for his final year exhibition. Chetty currently lectures in fine art at the Seychelles Intuition for Art and Design. He was the grand prize winner at the Seychelles Biennale of Contemporary Art 2022. He has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Seychelles and internationally.
