One of the most influential painters currently based in East Africa Paul Onditi studied art in Germany, returning to Nairobi in 2010. Onditi has participated in several group shows worldwide including at MAXXI in Rome and the Spriten Kunstalle, Norway and has had several solo show in the EU, US and in Africa. He represented Kenya at the 2017 Biennale Internazionale D’Arte, Venice, and in 2018 was selected by Simon Njami to participate in the Biennale de Dakar, Senegal.
