Born in 1989 in Croatia, Nikola Vudrag developed an early fascination with metalworking in his grandfather’s workshop and evolved the artistic aspects of the craft. Graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, he further trained in art therapy and medal making. Vudrag’s sculptures weave language, philosophy and theology into classical and contemporary forms and materials. Actively exhibiting since 2005, he has participated in over fifty independent and group exhibitions. Vudrag’s career encompasses the creation of public awards and medals, numerous monumental commissions for both public and private spaces, and valuable contributions to private and public art collections. He is the creative mind behind the Croatian euro coins and has crafted numerous commemorative and collector coins.
