Marie Hines Cowan

Marie Hines Cowan has been exhibiting in the US and Europe since 1979. She has also curated exhibitions and was the exhibition chair and President of the National Association of Women Artists. She has spoken on The Artist Forum TV, various radio programs, podcasts, and Yale’s 2014 Women in Leadership Conference. In the fall of 2023, Hines Cowan worked with high school art students during her solo exhibit as part of the symposium, Musing, Metamorphoses and Medea, that she created with two other scholars, Claire E. Scott, and Valentina Motta, at New Rochelle’s Museum of Arts and Culture. Hines Cowan’s work has been published in scholarly books and literary and art journals.
