Helen Kirwan
Kirwan, born and partly raised in Ireland and now living in Cyprus is a conceptual and interdisciplinary artist known for her quiet, meditative performances and multi-channel video installations. Her work explores concepts of loss, memory, temporality and journeying through the poetic and metaphorical construction of memory and is underpinned by her interest in Friedrich Schlegel’s concept of the ‘ philosophical fragment’ as a dynamic practice which aims at fragmentation for its own sake.
