Gail Olding

British-born artist Gail Olding, Educated at Central St Martins College and The Düsseldorf Academy. Olding worked under the tutelage of Hermann Nitsch later becoming his assistant. Olding has both national and international exhibitions and publications. Olding’s multidisciplinary approach probes the nexus where language collapses , inviting the viewer into a realm beyond conventional expression. Her intuitive engagement with materials fosters a dialogue between form and concept, eschewing traditional blueprints in favour of lists and rudimentary sketches that chart her creative journey. By seldom outsourcing, she harnesses the inherent language of materials to forge connections that transcend words, inviting viewers to know the work before they fully understand.
