Deanna Sirlin is an artist obsessed with the properties of color. Her investigations focus on the nature of light, color, and memory. Sirlin distills her palette into glowing abstracted color diverted through cultural and historical filters. She maneuvers her compositions and imagery across vastly different scales and numerous series of works. Sirlin’s interventions are created in situ, coloring the spaces in which they are presented. Her art addresses ideas of perception and viewpoint.
