Chen Mei-Tsen, born in Taipei (Taiwan), lives and works in Paris. She graduated from Taipei National University of the Arts. In 1990, she went to Paris for advanced studies and obtained artist status in France. To compensate for the finiteness of her territory as an islander, Mei-Tsen goes to meet other cultures. Because the quest for identity is built both in movement and by impregnation. Mei-Tsen roams the cities passing from one path to another. She thus constitutes her own map of networks in the image of the rhizomes. Mei-Tsen expresses herself by means of multiple techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, video and installations. Her journey is part of a search for traces, in search of answers on the origins from a constructive nomadism.
