Boise State University
Three studio artists and two scientists from Boise State University, Idaho, present studio and research projects that discuss human relationships to landscapes and land use in the western United States during a time of climate crises and land degradation. These artists’ practices encompass photography, video performance and ceramic sculpture. Their work addresses themes such as utopias/ dystopias, regeneration, queer identities and family histories. The scientists are part of the Human Environment Systems group at Boise State University. HES is a transdisciplinary community who undertake “research, education and engagement to resolve the critical human-environment system challenges of our time.”
