Albert Scopin
Scopin discovered Asphalt as an important medium whilst living in Manhattan in the 1970s. The impression finally empowered him many years later to pour hot, liquid Asphalt onto massive wooden canvases or into big molds to do two and three dimensional works (see: www.scopin.info). His works are a metaphor for the major issues facing human life today: pollution, loss of habitats and global warming.
