The European Cultural Centre will host the Closing Ceremony of the seventh edition of its biennial art exhibition in the historical venue of Palazzo Bembo, close to Rialto Bridge, from 11:00. During this special event, the prestigious ECC Awards will be announced, recognising exceptional works exhibited in this year’s group show.

The ECC Awards are distinguished recognitions that are given every year to projects showcased in the ECC’s art and architecture exhibitions that truly stand out. Since 2010 artists, architects, designers, and academics have been awarded by the European Cultural Centre, receiving great acknowledgement and a unique limited edition artwork by Dutch artist René Rietmeyer, founder of the European Cultural Centre itself.

This year’s iteration of Personal Structures was described by Sara Danieli as a vital artistic dialogue, transcending borders and reflecting the complexities of our interconnected world. Presenting itself not only as an exhibition but also as a journey crossing multiple boundaries – geographic, political, religious, cultural and artistic – the collective show brought together more than 200 artists and multidisciplinary creatives from 51 different countries, providing a rich tapestry of perspectives on the pressing challenges of our time.
